Pete George is a nationally touring stand-up comedian, actor, guitarist, and content creator based in Los Angeles. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Pete is the son of Gilbert George, the first accordion soloist in the military at West Point, and Patricia Church, an eleventh-generation New Yorker from Brooklyn.
After performing as the lead guitarist in a Cleveland rock band, Pete discovered stand-up comedy through a series of comedy competitions. A string of victories launched a national touring career that has now spanned more than 10,000 live performances at comedy clubs, casinos, theaters, resorts, and corporate events throughout the United States.
Pete made his feature film debut in the Academy Award-nominated classic The Shawshank Redemption and has since appeared in numerous film, television, and commercial productions. His starring role in the award-winning independent film Round It Goes, written and directed by Joe Stillman (Shrek), earned recognition at multiple film festivals, including a first-place award, and screened at the historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. His additional acting credits include The Majestic, Family Law, Strong Medicine, Untold Stories of the ER, Blood Relatives, A Social Distance, and numerous national and regional commercials.
Known for blending sharp storytelling, self-deprecating humor, audience interaction, and rock guitar into his performances, Pete continues to headline comedy clubs across the country while expanding his work as a digital creator, sharing stories from the road, behind-the-scenes moments from the entertainment industry, and insights from a career spanning more than three decades.
