Soufiane El Khalidy is a French actor, filmmaker, screenwriter, author, and model whose career uniquely combines international experience, physical dedication, and cross-cultural storytelling. Working across Europe, the United States, and the Arab world, he has established a reputation marked by versatility, intensity, and a global perspective.
Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, El Khalidy seamlessly navigates between languages, cultures, and cinematic traditions. His performances are characterized by a subtle strength: controlled, grounded, and emotionally resonant. Whether portraying men shaped by conflict, displacement, ambition, or survival, he offers a cinematic presence defined by restraint, intelligence, and physical authenticity.
His filmography includes significant international projects such as Ghosts of Beirut, NCIS: Los Angeles, Mary alongside Anthony Hopkins, The Eight, Shockwave: Countdown to Disaster, and De Gaulle: Partie 1. These roles have showcased his ability to move fluidly between Hollywood-scale productions, European prestige dramas, and independent cinema.
Renowned for his athletic screen presence and dedication to realism, El Khalidy has performed many of his own stunts, notably in Attamania (The Eight). This physical commitment lends his work a raw immediacy and aligns him with actors who combine emotional depth with action credibility.
El Khalidy’s artistic foundation is global. After studying in France and earning a marketing degree from Al Akhawayn University in Morocco, he relocated to the United States to complete a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production at Full Sail University. He received the Global Scholarship for his potential and was selected through preliminary auditions for the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School in New York.
As a filmmaker, El Khalidy first gained acclaim with his short film Flags and Masks Down, which secured awards, nominations, and official selections worldwide. The film was honored at festivals such as Los Angeles CineFest, Miami Independent Film Festival, Mac Horror Film Festival, Visionaria International Film Festival, Barcelona Planet Film Festival, Blackbird Film Festival, and the Cyprus International Film Festival / Golden Aphrodite Awards. It also won Best Short Film at the InterShort Online Film Awards and was a finalist at the IndieWise Film Festival / Convention in Miami.
His writing has also earned international recognition. Screenplays like Jukebox Zero and Just Like You Imagined have been selected, nominated, and awarded at events including the Chicago Horror Film Festival, Los Angeles CineFest, US Hollywood International Golden Film Awards, and the International Open Film Festival. In 2024, Just Like You Imagined received a nomination at the Widescreen Film & Music Video Festival in Toronto, further elevating his profile as an emerging international screenwriter.
Beyond filmmaking, El Khalidy authored Les Riffs d’un Moroccan Rebel, a literary exploration of identity, rebellion, art, and cultural duality. His public appearances, including a prime-time interview with journalist Ouadih Dada, have highlighted an artistic voice described as rebellious, reflective, and empathetic.
He is also the creator of The Arab Stuntmen, a docuseries that uncovers the overlooked legacy of Arab stunt performers in global cinema. This project reached a key milestone through an option agreement with Paris-based production company Special Touch Studios, led by producer Sébastien Onomo.
El Khalidy is represented in France by Cyrille Joubert as an actor and screenwriter, and by Emily Models as a model. In the United Kingdom, he is represented by Simon Allen at The Harter Allen Agency.
His work is fueled by a fascination with identity, exile, reinvention, and characters living between worlds. Drawing from classic cinema, American genre storytelling, European auteur traditions, and Arab cultural memory, he merges diverse influences rarely seen together in one artistic profile.
He shares his life and creative journey with French actress Nadia Benzakour, forming a partnership grounded in cinema, cultural dialogue, and international storytelling.
With a career spanning studio productions, independent film, screenwriting, literature, and modeling, Soufiane El Khalidy stands out as a contemporary actor-creator with global reach, physical presence, and a quietly commanding vision: a talent shaped by multiple worlds and poised to speak to them all.
