Allyson Leigh Jordan, a small-town girl from Alabama, moved to New Orleans and quickly fell in love with the city. She made friends swiftly through the movie industry and proudly calls New Orleans home. Known to many friends as "Ally," this SAG-eligible actor has dreamed of becoming an actress since childhood. Since arriving in New Orleans in March 2011, Allyson has made a significant impact on the film scene, participating in over 40 feature films, TV shows, and short films as an actress, producer, casting director, set photographer, and PA.
Allyson studied at UCLA School of Theater and Film in Los Angeles, training under acclaimed instructor Michael Hackett and others. Her additional acting education includes Tony Sheppard's Actors Workshop in association with Aaron Spelling Productions and The Hollywood Awards Actor, Screenwriter, and Filmmaker Workshop. She also performed in comedy improv, notably appearing on stage at The Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles during The Saturday Night Live 25 Year Reunion Show as the "Southern Girl in LA."
Her film and TV credits feature roles such as a Human Colonist in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), Mom in Black and White (2014), Reporter in Star-Crossed (TV series, 2014), Dancer in 12 Years a Slave (2013), Reagan Diner in The Butler (2013), Reporter in The Campaign (2012), LAPD Police Officer for a full season on Common Law (TV series, 2012), and Dancer in Bullet to the Head (2012). She has also worked as a stand-in and photo double, including a notable moment as Nicolas Cage's hand stand-in in Stolen (2012), where she placed her hands in water and electrical wires while pyrotechnics set up an explosion.
Recently, Allyson played the principal role of Jennifer, a zombie killer, in the movie LT (2012), part of the Project Z: History of the Zombie Apocalypse series. She also appeared as herself in No Such Thing (2013), another Project Z film. As a producer, Allyson worked on the movie Snack Time (2012), securing the famous Hubig’s Pies as a sponsor. She has served as videographer for behind-the-scenes footage on eight episodes of the Project Z series and worked extensively as a set photographer for numerous films.
A dedicated working actor, Allyson is also writing scripts and producing films, steadily advancing toward achieving all her dreams.
