Biografia
Alan Cappelli Goetz was born in Brasschaat, Antwerp, Belgium, to Heidi Goetz (Belgian) and Alessandro Cappelli (Italian). He was raised between Belgium and Italy and attended CEIS, the Italian-Swiss School in Rimini. By the time he graduated from Liceo della Comunicazione, a communication-focused high school, he was already gaining experience working with local television and radio stations. During this period, he also discovered a passion for theater and enhanced his musical skills with lessons in modern piano, drums, and singing. After spending six months in Toronto, Alan returned to Italy and enrolled first in the Department of Architecture and then Psychology at La Sapienza University in Rome. It was in Rome that he was first introduced to the possibility of a professional acting career. In the fall of 2008, he was admitted to the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, the Italian National Cinema School, where he participated in theater productions and several films. He currently lives and works between Los Angeles and Rome.
Towards the end of his studies, Alan was cast in lead roles for two TV series, "La Famiglia Gabardella" and "Notte Prima degli Esami." Initially discovered by De Agostini for a commercial directed by Giovanni Minoli, he went on to appear in a series of advertisements for the international Italian phone company TIM, collaborating with renowned Italian director Gabriele Muccino and major music producer Caterina Caselli of Sugar. During this time, he was invited to Montepulciano to serve as Robert Pattinson’s body double in the Twilight sequel "New Moon." His ongoing theater and stage work contributed significantly to his artistic development, and in September 2009, following the earthquake in L'Aquila, he landed his first leading role in the feature film "La Città Invisibile," which was shot amid the emergency conditions of the affected city. In 2011, he was cast as an exuberant French artist in the TV series "Tutti Pazzi per Amore," as the antagonist in "Come un Delfino," a show about a Roman swim team, and in the film "Come non Detto," which garnered critical and public acclaim as a remarkable debut for young director Ivan Silvestrini. During the summer of 2012, he filmed "Che Dio ci Aiuti" and "A un Passo dal Cielo," a Rai1 TV series set entirely in the Italian Dolomites. In 2013, Alan played Prince Geretz in Alessandro Siani’s directorial debut "Il Principe Abusivo," which, featuring a strong cast including Christian De Sica, Sarah Felberbaum, and Alessandro Siani himself, became one of the highest-grossing films at the Italian box office, surpassing even Peter Jackson’s "The Hobbit." On television, he portrayed Antonio in "Crossing Lines," a new crime show produced by Tandem and TF1 starring Donald Sutherland and William Fichtner. Meanwhile, Alan has remained active in independent projects such as "Elavia," an ambitious fantasy film, and "LARpers," an irreverent web series.
