Biografia
Simone Griffeth, a tall, graceful, and slender blonde, was born on April 4, 1950, in Savannah, Georgia. She studied Theater Arts at the University of South Carolina for three years. During college, Simone created, produced, and performed in a weekly children's show for a Columbia television station. At age fifteen, she appeared in a TV commercial. Her film debut featured a charming portrayal of the innocent country girl in the redneck exploitation film Swamp Girl (1971). She was also well-cast as another naive hillbilly in the gritty Sixteen (1972) and delivered an excellent performance as Annie Smith, David Carradine’s alluring co-driver, in Paul Bartel’s darkly comic sci-fi cult classic Death Race 2000 (1975). Simone exuded sensuality as the discontented wife of a neglectful millionaire in Hot Target (1985) and gave a strong performance in the action-packed Crown International film The Patriot (1986).
Griffeth has guest-starred in numerous TV shows, including Silk Stalkings (1991), The Golden Girls (1985), Magnum, P.I. (1980), Riptide (1984), T.J. Hooker (1982), The Dukes of Hazzard (1979), The Greatest American Hero (1981), Three's Company (1976), Hawaii Five-O (1968), The Incredible Hulk (1977), Starsky and Hutch (1975), and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974).
Currently, Griffeth teaches acting and collaborates with her husband, Wayne McDonald, as a real estate agent specializing in luxury Low Country properties on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She also continues to act in independent films.
