Kathleen Lawlor has appeared in over 25 independent films. Most recently, she portrayed Christine Cameron in the thriller Prepper's Grove (2018), playing a TV reporter investigating a missing teenager in a cold case. The film features Margaret O'Brien (Meet Me in St. Louis), Johnny Whitaker ("Jody" from Family Affair), and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down). Kathleen also played Janice, a heroine fighting to save a newborn while both struggle to survive an apocalyptic virus that turns people into mindless cannibals, in the dramatic horror film The Defiled (2010). This film won the Fantasy Horror Award in Orvieto, Italy, and was selected for the Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF) and the Bram Stoker Film Festival in Whitby, England. In the drama Fall Away, screened at the New York City International Film Festival (NYCIFF), she played Lucy, the band manager. In season one, episode 10 of Easy Abby, the most-viewed LGBT web series with over 30 million views (2013), she portrayed the alluring Genevieve, the mother of the bride. Her television work includes two episodes as a doctor on FOX's The Mob Doctor (2012) and the role of Karen Sansone, a jewelry store owner, on NBC's Chicago P.D. (2015). On the Chicago stage, Kathleen has performed at Judy's Beat Lounge at The Second City, Stage 773, The Den Theatre, and the Claudia Cassidy Theater at the Chicago Cultural Center. She is a writer, producer, singer, and visual artist holding a B.F.A. in Fine Art from St. Ambrose University. Kathleen is a mother of three and grandmother of six.
