Paul Pissanos is a Greek producer, writer, director, composer, painter and entrepreneur whose work spans film, television, philosophy, architecture and cultural research. Showing artistic talent from an early age, he worked as a painter, sculptor and hagiographer during his teenage years, collaborating with church artists and stage designers while also creating cinema advertising artwork for Greek film companies. He later founded his own advertising office in Athens, expanding into television production and employing actors, technicians and presenters for productions broadcast by YENED and ERT. Over the decades he collaborated with many major figures of Greek cinema, including Aliki Vougiouklaki, Manos Katrakis, Alekos Alexandrakis, Dinos Iliopoulos and director Alekos Sakellarios. Among his early productions were the documentaries "Four Feet a Day", "My Prayer" and "Raphael De Gordova - The Sun Land", while his ambitious international production Katohi (1973), featuring Curd Jürgens, Maria Schell and Klaus Kinski with music by Manos Hatzidakis, was halted during the political turmoil of the 1970s, leading to years of legal disputes and the loss of much of the filmed material. From the late 1980s onward, Pissanos focused extensively on documentaries centered on science, philosophy, archaeology, ancient Greek history and culture, presenting and distributing his productions internationally through markets including MIPTV and MIPCOM in Cannes. Working closely with his wife Carolina for many years, he developed multilingual documentary productions that reached broadcasters and home video markets worldwide. In parallel, he composed more than sixty hours of original music for his own works, while also serving as writer, editor and director on numerous productions. Beyond film and television, Pissanos became known for the conception of HEPTAPOLIS, a large-scale philosophical and architectural project inspired by ancient Greek thought, the Golden Ratio and Pythagorean principles. He designed the project's cities, infrastructure and digital educational systems through advanced 3D visualization and founded organizations including the OLYMPOS World Spiritual Center and Heptapolis - Trilogy Inc. His literary output includes philosophical and historical works such as "From Aristotle to Hawking", "The Laws of the Universe in Earthly and Heavenly Life", "The Golden Section" and "Orpheus and Eurydice", many of which were adapted into documentary productions distributed internationally. Over the years he received numerous honors and international distinctions connected to his cultural, philosophical and architectural initiatives, while his documentary and educational work established him as a prolific figure operating across multiple artistic and intellectual disciplines.
