Biografia
Pedro Pauleey was born in 1978 in Patos de Minas, a city in the interior of Minas Gerais. From a young age, he showed a passion for the stage. At just four years old, he sang songs by his childhood idol Jesse on Rádio Clube de Patos. At 16, he began participating in amateur theater. In mid-1996, he left home to take his first acting course in Uberlândia, later moving to UFOP in Ouro Preto, marking the beginning of his theater career.
His television debut came with the comedy show Escolinha Maluca (1997-2001) on Rede Minas/NTV. In 2001, after being accepted into the Performing Arts program at UFMG, he chose to move to Rio de Janeiro, aiming initially to become a voice actor—a profession he admired since childhood. In Rio, he studied under renowned dubbing directors Marlene Costa and Fernanda Baronne.
Pauleey’s talent and charisma have led to numerous advertising roles, including campaigns for McDonald's, Alcatel, Michelin, Caixa Econômica, Casa das Alianças, Channel Off, Clínica Dr. Tudo, CarGlass, Bradesco, EPTV, Colégio Etapa, Detran, MotoShow, and Nova Previdência, often as the lead.
Awards include Best Comedy Actor for the theatrical production 'Playing with the Tales,' recognition from the critics of Revista Isto É Gente for 'Lisístrata - Sex, Drugs and Strike,' Best Scene Actor at the Scenes Festival in Maryland, USA, for 'Rosas' in 2020, and the Diploma of Cultural Merit awarded by the Municipality of Patos de Minas in 2018.
Currently, he is a member of the theater company Confraria de Elephantes, where he is enhancing his skills through the JHL Method - Fractal Biomechanics at the Biomechanical Workshop for Theater and Cinema, led by Jansen Hugo Lage (creator of the JHL Method) and Jorge Mesquita. Initially, the company planned to stage 'Nelson,' a play about the life of the influential Brazilian playwright Nelson Rodrigues. However, due to the pandemic, this production was postponed, and they opted instead to present 'HIEROFANIA - Diving into the Sacred & Profane within the Human Soul' as an online performance.
Future projects include participating in the second season of the medical residency series 'Beyond Diagnosis' and acting in the feature film 'Barão Hirsch: o Judeu de Quatro Irmãos,' directed by Osnei de Lima. This film tells the story of the Jewish migration from Eastern Europe in the early 20th century and the philanthropic efforts of Barão Hirsch, who purchased the Four Brothers Farm and saved thousands of Jews. Filming has been postponed due to the pandemic.
Pedro Pauleey stars in 'Every Breath We Take' (O Ar Que A Gente Respira), a police drama feature film in development by filmmaker Rafael Santin and actress-producer Lu Chagas. The story explores personal and professional values under pressure during a murder investigation, with a race against time to uncover those responsible amid suspicions of additional homicides.
He awaits the premiere of two projects: 'Coronacircus,' filmed in 2020 and featuring Dedé Santana, known for his role in Os Trapalhões; and the series 'The Return - We Were Warned' (O Retorno - Nós fomos avisados), produced by Seven Filmes, which explores life after the apocalypse.
Since 2018, Pedro has lived in São Paulo, sharing a stable relationship with actress Lu Chagas, with whom he also collaborates on various professional projects.
