Skye Regan, born May 9, 1988, is a multi-talented actress, comedian, writer, artist, and producer. She has performed at venues such as The Bad Dog Theatre Company, The Rivoli, The Gladstone Hotel, The Brunswick House, Yuk Yuks, The Diesel Playhouse, and The Second City, including a recent appearance at the 2006 Toronto Fringe Festival.
In addition to live theatre, Regan has appeared in several independent films and television shows. Her film credits include "Terry" (2005), "I'm Sorry" (2005), "The Silo" (2006), "Forlorn" (2006), and "Team Leader" (2007). Television appearances include Instant Star, Chris & John: To The Rescue!, Punched Up, Style By Jury, The Big One, Prophet's Pulpit, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and The Morgan Waters Show.
Skye has also worked in commercials, most recently as part of the ensemble in a TV spot for Rogers Hello! Magazine.
She has featured in numerous music videos for both independent bands and established artists. Notably, Skye was a backup dancer in Keisha Chante's "Been Gone," directed by Lil' X. She also appeared in crowd scenes for "Poster Of A Girl" by Metric, "What's Your Worth" by Steal Halo, "Simple Ether" by The Monument Works (a project supporting Amnesty International's campaign against human trafficking), and "Eyes Wide" by Gryffen.
Skye has engaged in unique projects such as working as a scare actress at Paramount Canada's Wonderland's Fearfest: Haunted Theme Park. She performed in mazes including Corn Stalkers, Blood Shed, Massacre Manor, Legends of the Lost, Slaughter Street, and the Studio Lot, donning elaborate gore makeup and improvising scare tactics for visitors. Other notable work includes reading the role of "Samantha" in "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon" at the Lift Out Loud Reading Series, moderated by Karen Walton, the writer of "Ginger Snaps."
Beyond acting, Skye has ventured into production roles. She served as a lighting assistant on "Prophet's Pulpit," worked briefly as a stand-in for Second City Toronto's production of "Tip of the Melting Iceberg," and stage managed and served as scenographer for several shows of "Micetro Impro." She regularly manages front-of-house duties for the Bad Dog Theatre Company and worked as a production assistant on the Canadian Film Centre's "Empty Rooms," filmed at Cinespace Studios. Skye recently completed an internship with CityTV's Star! Productions.
Alongside technical work, Skye continually writes and develops stand-up and sketch comedy material. Her primary focus is performing in "Micetro Impro" Toronto, an improv format created by Keith Johnstone. She also occasionally teaches drop-in classes at the Bad Dog Theatre Company.
