Biografia
Since graduating from the esteemed National Theatre School of Canada in 2002, Karl has been active in the industry. A fluent bilingual actor in English and French, he recently concluded seven successful seasons on Radio Canada's popular sitcom Discussions avec mes parents. His recent film and television credits include lead roles in the film Pet Sematary 1969, as well as series like CTV's Transplant and CBC's Murdoch Mysteries. Additionally, Karl has held recurring roles on CBS' Blood & Treasure, TVA's Indéfendable, and Radio Canada's Faits Divers 2.
Throughout his career, Karl has shared the screen with notable actors such as Ben Stiller in Brad's Status, Felicity Jones in On The Basis of Sex, and Colm Feore in Bon Cop Bad Cop 2.
His most memorable film experience involved working with Jay Baruchel, Seann William Scott, Liev Schreiber, Marc-André Grondin, and George Tchortov on the Canadian hockey films Goon and Goon: The Last of The Enforcers.
Karl has collaborated with many of Montreal's leading theatre companies, including the Centaur Theatre, Segal Centre, Black Theatre Workshop, Infinitheatre, Repercussion Theatre, Geordie Theatre, and Theatre Lac Brome. He has also toured to Ottawa's National Arts Centre and Toronto's Factory Theatre with Black Theatre Workshop's production of Angélique, and performed on stage in Los Angeles, Washington, and Chicago during Starvox's production of Sherlock Holmes.
When not acting, Karl runs his own self-taping and coaching studio, establishing himself as one of Montreal's most in-demand acting and audition coaches. He is currently mentoring several of the city's most promising young actors.
Karl resides in Montréal with his wife and son. Besides Montreal, he has also lived in Toronto for three years. A passionate sports enthusiast, Karl is also an avid reader of fiction, fantasy, science fiction, comic books, and graphic novels.
