Stephen Onda has been an independent producer, director, and writer working in Western Canada since 1984. Throughout his career, he has produced both feature films and television content. His television experience spans various genres, including movies, children's programming, family shows, magazine formats, and documentary series. Stephen has written and directed numerous television documentaries, primarily focusing on social issues.
He has produced and co-produced a range of independent feature films in collaboration with producers from Canada, the United States, Germany, and England.
Stephen actively develops projects for both television and feature films.
Raised on a family farm in Saskatchewan, he attended the University of Saskatchewan, studying Special Education and Developmental Psychology, and the University of Regina, where he majored in Film and Television.
From 1988 to 2000, he served as President of Heartland Motion Pictures Inc., overseeing development, production, and post-production for television.
Between 1995 and 2000, he was CEO of Tyndal Stone Media Inc., focusing on the development of interactive products, primarily CD-ROMs with an emphasis on educational software.
From 2000 to 2003, he worked as a producer at WestWind Pictures Inc., developing and producing television programs.
Since 2003, he has been President of Stephen Onda Productions Inc.
