Biografia
Lora Marie Oberhofer Taylor is a veteran Line Producer, Production Finance Controller, and filmmaker with more than four decades of experience in the entertainment industry. She is the founder of Invisible Line Pictures, a production company dedicated to developing and producing compelling stories about the unseen and behind-the-scenes individuals who have been instrumental in creating the notoriety and acclaimed success of others. Born in Munich, Germany, to American parents serving in the U.S. Army, Lora moved with her family to El Paso, Texas, following their posting. She attended Catholic school before transitioning to public school, where she competed successfully at an elite level in tennis across the southwestern United States. The family later relocated to Los Angeles, where she began high school and first immersed herself in the entertainment industry. As a teenager, she worked as a background artist on numerous film and television projects while still in school. She had small roles in major productions such as Grease, Big Wednesday, American Hot Wax, Happy Days, and Barretta. She also pursued a singing career, performing in showcases and observing recording sessions with legendary artists including Billy Preston, L.A. Express, the Rolling Stones, and Leon Russell. Music producer Kim Fowley recruited her for the all-female rock band The Runaways, but her strict military father refused permission for her to tour in Japan as a minor. Lora then moved behind the camera into production finance. She began at Warner Bros. Studio as a payroll accountant, working on major feature films and hit television series. Over her long career she has contributed to high-profile international productions in production finance. After marriage and raising children, she took time off to focus on family while volunteering extensively and raising funds and editing the newsletter for a golf tournament benefiting wildfire victims. When her children were older, she returned to the industry and has spent the past 35 years working as a Line Producer and Production Finance Controller for independent features, documentaries, and television productions. She has collaborated with leading production companies on both scripted and unscripted content, frequently traveling to international locations to manage complex budgets and logistics. In recent years, Lora founded Invisible Line Pictures to shine a light on the unsung contributors, the crew members, collaborators, and hidden talent, whose work has helped build the careers and successes of many prominent artists and productions. Today, she continues to produce, develop, and collaborate on film, television, and documentary projects around the world. She brings extensive expertise in creative budgeting, international co-productions, high level talent coordination, and transforming powerful, untold stories into reality.
