Slavi Trifonov, born on October 18, 1966, in Pleven, Bulgaria, is a Bulgarian entertainer, actor, singer, and viola player. His father, Todor, hails from Gorna Mitropoliya, and his mother, Zdravka, comes from Todorovo. He has an older sister named Petya, who is three years his senior and whom he considers his closest person.
In 1985, Slavi graduated from the National School of Arts "Panayot Pipkov" in Pleven, specializing in viola. He completed his military service between 1985 and 1987 and later graduated from the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov."
While still a student in 1992, he appeared as an actor in the student show "Ku-Ku." Within two years, he gained significant popularity and began shaping his ideas for the future of show business. During the "Ku-Ku" years, he earned 19.00 BGN per month and considered working in Switzerland but ultimately chose to stay. Following "Ku-Ku," Slavi produced and hosted "Kanaleto" (1995-1997) and "The Exiles" (1998-2000). Since 2000, he has been the producer and host of "Slavi Trifonov's Show," a highly rated TV program in Bulgaria. He has welcomed globally renowned figures and numerous prominent Bulgarians to his studio. Slavi is also the frontman of the Bulgarian band Ku-Ku, founded in 1993, which he describes as the best thing that has happened to him.
Slavi Trifonov is recognized as a remarkable figure in Bulgarian show business. Although primarily active in folk and pop-folk music, he has explored other genres such as hip-hop, pop-rock, and punk with Ku-Ku Band.
He is widely known not only in Bulgaria but across the Balkans. Over his career, Slavi has released twenty-three albums, recorded more than 300 songs, performed at hundreds of concerts, and completed thirteen tours, including one in the United States.
