Eric Hetzel is an award-winning film and television producer recognized with Emmy, AFI, Peabody, and Image Awards. Until August 2014, he was with Robert Cort Productions, managing the development and production of film and television projects. His latest production credit is Make Your Move, produced by Hetzel, written and directed by Duane Adler, and featuring Derek Hough and Korean star BoA; the film was released theatrically in 2014. During his tenure at Robert Cort Productions, Hetzel collaborated with numerous talented screenwriters and filmmakers, partnering with companies including Team Downey, Disney, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate International, Fox Television Studios, SyFy, CJ Entertainment, and SM Entertainment. He executive produced HBO's Something The Lord Made, one of the network's most critically acclaimed and widely viewed made-for-television movies. Hetzel also produced Save The Last Dance 2 for MTV and Paramount, and The Rats, a television film for Fox. His involvement extends to films such as Save The Last Dance, A Year Ago In Winter, Against the Ropes, The Out Of Towners, The Odd Couple II, and TV movies The Agency and Harlan County War. Eric spent over 18 years working with Robert Cort, starting as a script reader at the Cort-Madden Company and progressing to producing alongside Cort. Before that, he held various roles on independent productions, including acting, grip, camera, sound, and post-production. He earned a B.A. in English from the University of Southern California in 1994, where he studied creative writing under T. Coraghesson Boyle and supported himself through work at the School of Cinema Television.
