Allen Wolf is a celebrated filmmaker, author, podcaster, and game designer.
He wrote, directed, and produced the film adaptation of The Sound of Violet, which premiered in theaters. The screenplay earned multiple awards and is based on his novel, itself a recipient of several honors, including two Book of the Year awards. Kirkus Reviews praised The Sound of Violet, describing it as "an entertaining, well-paced, and highly visual high-concept narrative. It's a charming, humorous, and hopeful story—a quirky and touching love tale."
Allen also wrote, directed, and produced In My Sleep, which opened in theaters as the top new indie film during its debut weekend. The film was sold to over 70 countries and won awards at nine film festivals. The Hollywood Reporter lauded it, stating, "In My Sleep never rests, thanks to the tight, psychologically insightful pacing by filmmaker Wolf."
He hosts the Navigating Hollywood podcast, where he regularly interviews entertainment industry professionals. The podcast ranks as the #6 film interview podcast in the U.S. and falls within the top 2% of the most popular podcasts globally.
In addition, Allen has earned 39 awards for games created through his company, Morning Star Games. His games, enjoyed by hundreds of thousands worldwide, include You're Pulling My Leg!, You're Pulling My Leg! Junior, JabberJot, Pet Detectives, and Slap Wacky!
A summa cum laude graduate of New York University's film school, Allen's senior thesis film, Harlem Grace, was a finalist for both the Student Academy Awards and the Producer's Guild of America Award.
He is married to his Persian princess, and together they are raising two children, Adele (born 2012) and Cyrus (born 2015). Allen enjoys traveling the world and listening to people's life stories.
