Pascal describes himself as someone who loves to create, entertain, and inspire. He has a profound passion for theater and an intense love for filmmaking.
Since 1993, Pascal Ulli has worked as an actor, producer, and director. He has appeared in over 70 films and more than 30 theater productions, directed 13 plays, and produced 3 feature films along with 32 stage productions.
The Swiss actor is fluent in English, German, Swiss German, and French, and has basic knowledge of Italian, Spanish, Latin, and Russian.
Raised in Bern, Switzerland, Pascal trained at the prestigious HB Studio in New York under Uta Hagen after finishing college. There, he embraced the American acting style and committed himself fully to Method Acting.
In 1996, he received the Cineprix Telecom award at the Stars of Tomorrow festival in Geneva, honored as the “best promising European actor” for his role in "Nacht der Gaukler."
He earned a nomination for the Swiss Film Prize Quartz in 2014 for his role as the addict Ueli in "Der Goalie bin ig," a part for which he lost 15 kilograms in two months.
In 2022, Pascal won the Best Performance Award at Italy’s Desenzano International Film Festival for his work in "Phlegm."
Pascal founded and produced Off Off Bühne, which won the Impulse Prize in 1998, and currently produces Independent Theater Productions.
In Switzerland, he has appeared in popular SRF series like "Tatort," "Lüthi und Blanc," "Der Bestatter," "Wilder," and "Die Beschatter." In Germany, his credits include "Tatort," "Wilde Engel," "Polizeiruf 110," and "Dengler."
His recent international projects include Netflix’s "Undercover," Sky/Hulu’s "Das Boot," and Shawn Levy’s "All the Light We Cannot See" for Netflix.
As a director, Pascal’s debut stage adaptation of "The Basketball Diaries" earned an invitation to the New York Fringe Festival. He also starred as Jim Carroll in the sold-out Off-Off-Broadway run.
During the pandemic, Pascal authored the motivational book "Be a Dreamer, Become an Actor/Actress," aimed at inspiring young individuals pursuing careers in film or theater by outlining what it takes to achieve their artistic dreams.
Pascal Ulli is married to Sibylla Ulli and they have two children, Maxim and Manon.
