Joss Gomez: The Visionary Behind the Craft
Joss Gomez is an internationally acclaimed producer, director, entrepreneur, publisher, actor, musician, and lawyer—a true Renaissance talent hailing from Mexico City. A graduate of UNAM Law School and a communications scholar at UTEP in Texas, Joss seamlessly combines intellect, creativity, and determination in all his pursuits.
His performance journey began at age five, enchanting audiences as both an actor and magician. Growing up in a family of artists and politicians, creativity and leadership were ingrained in him. His early career thrived in Mexico's renowned telenovelas, with roles in classics such as Teresa (alongside Salma Hayek), Quinceañera, and Carrusel.
After earning his law degree, Joss moved to Las Vegas and quickly made his mark in Hollywood blockbusters, appearing in Ocean's Eleven, Rush Hour 2, The Scorpion King, among others. He later settled in Los Angeles, where his TV and film credits grew to include The OC, Summerland, Shark, Providence, The X-Files, and XXX: State of the Union.
Throughout his career, Joss has shared the screen with global stars like Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Jackie Chan, George Clooney, William Shatner, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and James Woods—earning the nickname Mr. Magic for his charm and versatility.
In 2010, Joss transitioned from acting to founding Magic Image Hollywood Magazine, now one of Los Angeles’ leading entertainment publications. Through the magazine, he has produced glamorous red carpet events such as The Queen of Hollywood, Magic Image Hollywood Awards, beauty pageants, charity galas, and movie premieres—all marked by his unique style. In 2016, he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the sci-fi thriller Among Us, available on Amazon Prime. That year, a heart attack profoundly changed his life, inspiring him to partner with heart health organizations to educate and motivate others.
His latest projects include Las Garnachas—a comedy TV series; Chikitito Meow—a family film featuring international star Mr. Chikitito; and Team of Two—a hard-hitting action movie. Upcoming films in development are The Leather Man, The Best, and Red Devil.
