Susan Traylor has appeared in over fifty films, including Noah Baumbach's Greenberg, Kate and Laura Mulleavy's Woodshock, Michael Mann's Heat, Gus Van Sant's To Die For, Robert Redford's A River Runs Through It, Anjelica Huston's Bastard Out of Carolina, Michael Tolkin's The New Age, Rory Kelly's Sleep With Me, and John Putch's Valerie Flake, for which she earned a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actress. She also received the Domiani Visionfest Best Actress award for Steve Balderson's Casserole Club. Recently, she starred in Emma Tillman's The Wheel, Julie Philip's Anonymous, and Alex Eaton's Love For Fools, and wrote the six-part series Makin' Love.
Traylor co-wrote and starred in Steve Balderson's El Ganzo, which won Best Feature at the Salento International Film Festival. She wrote, co-produced, and starred in Jefery Levy's Me and co-produced Levy's The Key. Additionally, she wrote, directed, and starred in Welcome To California, which received the Spalding Gray Award for New Voices In Cinema at the East Hampton Film Festival.
Born in New York and raised in Malibu, California, Traylor studied acting with her parents, the renowned teachers Peggy Feury and William Traylor, and attended film school at NYU.
