Биография
Marcus Andrew Proctor, born in Australia, has created and written the TV drama 'Elliot's Creek' in Australia, the TV comedy 'Mikey' in the US/Canada, and another TV comedy 'Heaven Can Wait' in the UK, in which he also stars as the protagonist in all three.
His passion for acting began at age 7 after discovering his local theatre, where he stayed for seven years. At age 10, he fascinated himself with reverse charge calls, repeatedly contacting Paramount Pictures to seek roles in his favorite shows, including Murder, She Wrote (1984); Blacke's Magic (1986); and V (1983).
After graduating high school, he moved to Sydney to pursue acting with some success. Seeking a break, he traveled the world for six years and authored a book, 'Happy Traveller,' which offers a bold perspective on his experiences. The book has been featured in various magazines, radio interviews, and online internationally.
His passion for acting reignited, leading him to be the lead or co-lead in over 100 film, TV, and theatre roles across comedy and drama in Australia, the UK, Canada, Los Angeles, and New York. He is also in discussions with music producers to record songs.
As a writer, he has developed numerous shows with multiple seasons or pilots, broadcast or attracting significant interest in Australia, the UK, Canada, and the US. His work spans drama, comedy, dramedy, sci-fi, cartoons, shorts, reality, and documentary genres.
He is also involved in the 'It Gets Better Campaign' in the US, aimed at preventing suicide among bullied children.
