Langley McArol is an American actor, writer, and producer recognized for his contributions to television, film, voice-over, and stage. Hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was raised in Southern Ohio's Appalachian region by his mother and grandparents before moving to New York and Los Angeles to advance his entertainment career.
McArol began exploring performance during college, where he studied Social Sciences and Voice. Encouraged by an instructor to pursue acting, he trained under theatre director and acting coach Jim "Taylor" Hayes and earned a performance scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.
After completing his formal training, McArol developed his career in the Southeast, working in theatre, independent film, voice-over, and television, before relocating to Los Angeles in 2016. His early professional projects included the independent short films "One of the Girls" and "Superhero," in which he also took on roles as writer, producer, and director.
He has since appeared in notable television series such as FX’s "Snowfall," AMC’s "Halt and Catch Fire," ABC’s "American Crime," CBS’s "Reckless," and the Freeform film "Teen Spirit." McArol is known for his ability to blend authentic dramatic performances with sharp comedic timing, establishing himself as a versatile character actor across both network and streaming platforms.
Alongside his acting, McArol continues to develop projects as a writer and producer, with credits including "House Arrest," "The Bag," and various independent productions.
A long-term survivor of a rare childhood cancer diagnosed in infancy, McArol’s personal experience has shaped his creative outlook and inspired his advocacy for resilience and perseverance throughout his career.
