Биография
Andy Snavley is a three-time Emmy-nominated independent sound designer and re-recording mixer, specializing in immersive storytelling through sound for picture, with over thirty years of experience.
Growing up in a family of musicians, inventors, and tinkerers, Andy has been a lifelong experimenter with music and sound. He began his career in 1991 while still in high school, apprenticing at the Academy Award-winning sound company Soundstorm. There, he gained expertise in building and maintaining electronic control systems, amplifiers, switching systems, synchronization distribution systems, and mag and tape machines for transfer bays. He quickly advanced and had the privilege of witnessing the traditional film sound process rooted in Hollywood's earliest days.
In 1994, Andy joined the bi-coastal commercial music company tomandandy, where he honed his skills in sound design and composition, collaborating with leading advertising agencies such as TBWA/Chiat Day and DMB&B. He also contributed to various independent short films and feature projects.
By 1997, Andy earned a staff composing role at the eight-room commercial post house CB+Co / Mike Recording. His innovative approach to creating original, inspired, and impactful music and sound design attracted clients including Apple, Coca-Cola, Nike, Mitsubishi, Sprint, Farmers Insurance, Saturn, Lexus, and Toyota.
In 2004, Andy founded Bendy with a fresh creative vision, a focus on fostering strong client relationships, and a passion for mentoring emerging talent. In 2012, Bendy opened its newly designed and constructed studio, allowing Andy to expand services and optimize workflows. The facility features a rooftop solar array, a water-recapturing air conditioning system, and energy-efficient lighting throughout.
