Anja attended an Ursuline all-girls school before studying law. Surprisingly, just months before taking her bar exam, she began her musical and acting training in Frankfurt.
Following her acting studies, Anja performed as a guest actor in two productions at the National Theatre Darmstadt, then moved to New York City to continue her education at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. There, she trained with renowned instructors such as George Loros, Geoffrey Horne, Debra Wiley, and Robert Castle, with whom she still trains today. Upon returning to Europe, she furthered her studies in acting, singing, and dancing at the Academy Internationale de Comédie Musicale (AICOM) in Paris.
Since then, Anja has appeared in several German TV shows as a guest and episodic actor and starred in independent films like "Schatten des Krieges." She has also produced and played lead roles in two plays centered on women in music. She performed alongside German star Eva Mattes in the play "Liv Stein" and from 2020 to 2022, starred in and produced the German Off-Broadway one-woman show "The Other Mozart," portraying Nannerl Mozart.
