Биография
With a 35-year career in entertainment, JC Calciano has explored a wide range of fields, including major studio blockbusters, independent films, reality TV, documentaries, music videos, webisodes, and theater.
In 2010, he founded Cinema175, a production company focused primarily on comedy and romance projects, where he serves as producer, writer, and director.
JC made his writing and directing debut with the groundbreaking gay romantic comedy "Is It Just Me?" which was featured in over 50 international film festivals and earned multiple awards, including audience choice and best picture honors. He followed this with "eCupid," a top-selling LGBTQ title that screened at more than 60 film festivals and won four Best Picture and Audience Choice awards.
His third feature, "The 10 Year Plan," was presented at over 51 international film festivals, winning 10 awards for writing and filmmaking, and was later adapted into a male/male romance novel.
JC also led the creation, direction, and production of "Steam Room Stories," the world's most-watched and longest-running LGBTQ web series on YouTube. This brand has expanded into several spin-offs, including an award-winning film, a novel series, and the "Steamy Stories" podcast.
His latest project is the "Steamy Stories" podcast and its accompanying anthology "Steam Room Confidential," featuring stories that blend sass, sweetness, sultriness, and whimsy. Occasionally, inspired by the material, JC collaborates with his team to produce short film adaptations of these tales.
Beyond film and storytelling, JC developed the adult card game "Casting Call," in which players compete to audition for movie roles and earn the director’s selection.
