Paul Mecurio is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian recognized for his contributions to "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," recurring roles on "The Late Show," various national programs, and his own comedy specials. He is also a skilled actor, host of the acclaimed podcast "Inside Out with Paul Mecurio," an award-winning writer, and a frequent commentator on news and sports networks such as CNN, MSNBC, "CBS Sunday Morning," Fox News, HLN, and ESPN. After graduating with high honors from Georgetown Law School, Paul worked as a lawyer on Wall Street at the top-tier international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, and as an investment banker at Credit Suisse, handling multi-billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions for Fortune 100 companies.
While working on Wall Street, Jay Leno hired Paul to write jokes for "The Tonight Show." Leading a double life as a Wall Street lawyer and banker by day and comedian by night, Paul eventually left finance to pursue entertainment full-time, recognizing the difficulty of balancing both careers.
Paul was featured as a correspondent on "The Daily Show," including the segment "Second Opinion," where he humorously critiqued the medical profession by playing an unsympathetic HMO representative.
