சுயசரிதை
Matthew Austin Jordon was raised in the distinctive Victorian town of Redlands, California. Throughout high school and college, he trained under Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame Instructor Ray Dalke, competing as a member of Team USA in the traditional "hard" style of Shotokan Karate, the same style practiced by adventurer Bear Grylls and action star Jean Claude Van Damme. Matt has successfully participated in full-contact Kumite competitions across the US and Canada as a black belt. Alongside his athletic pursuits, he studied art and business in college and joined the creative make-up effects team at Alterian Inc., led by make-up effects legend Tony Gardner. There, he gained professional experience in practical make-up effects while working on projects such as "There's Something About Mary" and "Spiderman." He later produced animatronics and props for Disney Imagineering and served as a project leader at animatronics powerhouse Garner Holt Productions. Over time, Matt has collaborated closely with Tony Gardner on projects for the Farrelly brothers, Josh Gordon & Will Speck, Sam Raimi, Jared Hess, John J. Kelly, Tibor Takacs, Avi Lerner, Steve Cannell, Stephen R. Monroe, Mike Mitchell, and David Kirschner.
Currently, Matt merges his athletic skills with his special effects expertise to create unique characters as a SAG actor. He has performed in heavy prosthetic makeup, animatronic and puppeteered suits featuring pneumatics and mechanics, worn various contact lenses, executed stunts, performed fight scenes, participated in shootouts and morph scenes, and even portrayed electrocution on screen. His acting coach is Wendy Girard, a Life Member of The Actors Studio, a Teaching Artist at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, and an affiliate of The Lincoln Center Institute of Performing Arts. With his diverse experiences and broad background, Matt is highly adaptable, boasting a solid professional record in practical special effects and a passion for creative and entrepreneurial projects. Always willing to embrace challenges, he maintains a professional attitude throughout. His intense years of martial arts training as a black belt have enhanced his performance in demanding creature-suit and prosthetic makeup roles, enabling him to endure physically challenging shoots with a smile and a sense of humor.
Matt is currently working on the upcoming Jared Hess-directed sci-fi comedy "Gentleman Broncos" as well as the Adam Sandler comedy "Bedtime Stories.
