NORRY NIVEN - DGA
Renowned as an actor’s director, Norry began his career in college directing MTV music videos and has been a globally represented commercial director since the age of 22. His standout commercial work and Super Bowl spots have garnered widespread acclaim for major brands like Gatorade, Ford, Lincoln, McDonald’s, HBO, Showtime, KIA, FOX, Pepsi, Disney, Visa, and American Express. He has directed numerous A-list talents including Jennifer Lopez, Don Cheadle, Claire Danes, Rosamund Pike, William H. Macy, Edie Falco, Michael Sheen, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Kiefer Sutherland, Andrew Scott, Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin, and Michael C. Hall.
Norry has earned multiple Emmy and Promax gold directing awards for his work on series such as RAY DONOVAN, HOMELAND, THE TUDORS, WEEDS, BEL-AIR, SHAMELESS, 24, WHEEL OF TIME, RIPLEY, NURSE JACKIE, and the first eight seasons of DEXTER. His recent documentary feature, GET BACK UP, received a 9.5 out of 10 rating from Film Threat and won the prestigious Special Jury Remi Award. His earlier feature film, FROM ABOVE (also known as CHASING SHAKESPEARE), starring Danny Glover and Graham Greene, earned over a dozen Best Film and Best Director awards at festivals ranging from Hawaii to Cannes, including an Audience Award at SXSW, and was honored at the Dallas Museum of Art.
His latest project, TO SAVE A SON, is in post-production and scheduled for release next year. He recently co-wrote the pilot for a limited series titled WILDCATS, which he will direct and is set to film in 2026. Norry is also developing a dark comedy series called OLIVIA vs. THE WORLD and will direct SIX PAINTED LADIES, a true story about the 1911 Mona Lisa heist, which he also wrote. Additionally, he is signed on to direct the sci-fi fantasy adventure KAIA, with Valerie McCaffrey casting and co-producing.
