Jason Sirotin is a seasoned film and television producer with a rich history of creative storytelling and media production. Beginning his journey in the visual arts as a teenager, Sirotin pursued his passion through formal education at the Rochester Institute of Technology, followed by advanced studies in filmmaking and television at Emerson College. His early career was marked by minor roles on high-profile sets such as "Dawson's Creek" and Mel Gibson's "The Patriot," before transitioning back to Boston to deepen his engagement with film production and news photography.
In 2001, Sirotin took on a pivotal role as the Head of Production and Programming at XY.TV, propelling the network from its inception to a formidable presence in over 10,000,000 homes across America, including being one of the inaugural networks on Verizon's FIOS platform. Despite its eventual closure due to financial constraints, Sirotin's tenure at XY.TV set the stage for his future endeavors, including meeting his future partners at ECG Productions and his wife, Courtney.
Sirotin's ambition led him to Howard TV, where, as the head of Original Programming, he produced six feature-length documentaries, including the award-winning "9/11 A Retrospective." This documentary offered a poignant look at Howard Stern's live broadcast during the tragic events of September 11, 2001, showcasing Sirotin's ability to handle sensitive subject matter with integrity and depth.
Driven by entrepreneurial spirit, Sirotin joined forces with Trey Gregory and Jason Marraccini at ECG Productions in Atlanta, GA, in 2007. Under his leadership, ECG Productions has flourished, producing thousands of commercial and corporate videos, nine feature films, countless music videos, and hundreds of documentaries and animations from their 30,000 sq ft state-of-the-art studio.
Sirotin's notable achievements include creating the television show "Taste The Culture," which was picked up by Warner Brothers and distributed by TNT, TruTV, and TBS. His work has not only garnered critical acclaim but also earned him an Emmy, a testament to his impactful contributions to the film and television industry.
