Clint Carmichael is a multifaceted actor and award-winning filmmaker who has captivated audiences for over thirty years. Originally from Los Angeles, Carmichael attended film school at San Francisco State University, where a performance of "The Rivals" at A.C.T. inspired him to pursue acting. After returning to L.A., he trained with the esteemed acting coach Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Soon, he began landing roles in commercials, episodic television, and films. Standing 6'4" and weighing 230 pounds, the former competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and ski instructor's athleticism and appearance made him a natural fit for live stunt shows at Universal Studios Hollywood. He performed in top-rated shows such as The A-Team, Miami Vice, Conan, Wild Wild West, and Terminator T-2. His connections within the stunt community remain strong to this day.
Comfortable on stage as well, Carmichael has participated in numerous world premieres and critically acclaimed productions at theaters including the Hudson, Court, Matrix, and West Coast Ensemble. As a five-year member of the West Coast Ensemble, he acted in main stage productions and contributed to the writers' and directors' labs, helping develop original works for theater and potential film adaptations. His notable stage roles include the world premiere of Christopher Hart's "Teeing Off," "The Precipice" alongside Sharon Lawrence, the debut of Ken Lippman's "Eddie Quinn," the West Coast premiere of "Love & Anger" with Ian Buchanan, and the Matrix Theater’s production of "Johnny on the Spot" featuring Richard Burgi.
Carmichael’s debut as a film producer was the supernatural teen thriller "The Open Door," which earned rave reviews and won the Audience Choice Award at its premiere during the Shriekfest Film Festival. The film is distributed worldwide by Phase4 Films (domestic) and Moving Pictures Film & TV (international) and is available for purchase or streaming on all major platforms. His second producing project, "The Action Hero's Guide To Saving Lives," is a hilarious action-comedy short starring Patrick Warburton (known for Rules of Engagement, Seinfeld, Men in Black II, The Tick). The film received numerous accolades, including Best Action/Adventure Short at Comic-Con International Film Festival, Best Comedy Short at CineGear Expo Film Series, Best Short at World of Comedy Film Festival, Best-Of-Fest at LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival, Best Comedy at Hollyshorts Film Festival, Best-Of Fest at Foursite Film Festival, and Best Comedy at Dragon Con Film Festival in Atlanta. Following the overwhelming success of "Action Hero," the team is developing it into a feature-length film. Carmichael continues to work both in front of and behind the camera, with several projects currently in development.
