Cynthia is a multi-talented woman with roles including supermodel, entrepreneur, mother, actress, and TV personality. She is best known for her vibrant presence on the hit Bravo series "Real Housewives of Atlanta." Following a record-breaking ninth season, Season 10 premiered on November 5th, showcasing Cynthia’s 50th birthday celebration. The new season highlights her journey as a single mother, her new business endeavors, and embracing life as "50 Cynt."
Cynthia began her career by moving to New York to pursue fashion modeling. She quickly secured a five-year contract with Wilhelmina Models, leading to a highly successful debut as the cover model for Essence Magazine. Her first cover became one of the highest-selling in the magazine’s history and was a personal favorite of then editor-in-chief Susan Taylor. Shortly after, she landed her second cover, setting the stage for a prosperous career.
She then moved to Paris and Milan, walking in Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks. After nearly a year abroad, Cynthia returned to New York City, where she was in high demand, securing campaigns for Maybelline, Olay, and Macy’s. Editorials for Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Essence, and Vanity Fair followed. One of her career highlights was being chosen over Naomi Campbell for a co-starring role opposite Sandra Bernhardt in the film "Without You I’m Nothing."
By 2018, Cynthia had established the BE BETTER Foundation, focused on empowering girls, along with two accessory lines: Cargo by Cynthia Bailey, featuring purses, tote bags, and luggage, and Cynthia Bailey Eyewear, a stylish yet affordable collection of eyewear. Both lines were inspired by her passion for accessorizing. In August, Cynthia appeared on QVC to promote her brands and continues to donate 10% of her proceeds to various charities.
