Born in the South West of England, Shane developed a passion for the performing arts early on. He fondly recalls landing his first audition for a major motion picture during this time.
At 11, Shane made his stage debut as an impressionist in a school talent show. As a young teenager, he co-wrote and performed his first Western stage play with two friends, marking the start of his creative journey. After a lengthy hiatus to focus on family life, Shane continued writing songs and short stories over the years.
He later reignited his passion for acting, gaining his first industry experience through a casting call for Paramount Pictures' World War Z starring Brad Pitt. Though his role was background, it sparked a deep fulfillment and set him on a path of growth. Shane attended numerous workshops and seminars, studying acting techniques with a focus on Chekhov's principles of movement. He gained valuable experience working on major film sets including World War Z, Hummingbird (starring Jason Statham), Jack Ryan (starring Kevin Costner, Chris Pine, and Keira Knightley), and Closed Circuit (starring Eric Bana).
Shane has also worked with BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, and the Crime & Investigation Channel, collaborating with and learning from some of the industry's finest talent. Notably, he has been a stand-in for Mark Hamill on Star Wars and a double for Russell Crowe on The Mummy, expanding his diverse skill set. His career has progressed from supporting artist to principal and lead roles across television, film, corporate work, short films, and music videos, including both dialogue and non-dialogue parts.
Continuing to build momentum, Shane has secured roles in feature films such as 1603, Witch, Honeytrap, Made Ordinary, and Mafias Greatest Hits series 2 as Albert Anastasia (The High Executioner). He recently completed the role of Professor Adams in the feature film B.R.I, where he also contributed as Casting Producer.
In addition to his on-screen work, Shane has embraced behind-the-scenes roles, earning credits as Actor, Writer, Producer, Cinematographer, Assistant Director, and Casting Director.
In 2016, Shane made his directorial debut with the short film Blame, written by Leila Kotori, which has evolved into an award-winning series pilot. He also directed Flawless, a Ukrainian/UK collaboration. Moving forward, Shane is producing his own projects, including the feature film Palatable and Desuba-On Reflection, a book now available on Amazon.
