சுயசரிதை
Michael M. Taglianetti is a writer, producer, director, and entrepreneur who, alongside business and creative partners Paul M. Smith and Susan Gorowitz, has successfully built a profitable, multifaceted creative studio in Los Angeles from the ground up. Mr. Taglianetti oversees most of the creative content in development at Containment Field. When not writing new material, sketching concepts, or designing custom props, miniatures, and environments, he manages the business aspects of the studio, including budgeting, approving expenditures, and sales—ensuring revenue generation to fund payments. His diverse career includes authoring books and screenplays, producing and directing television commercials, working as an animator, special make-up and mechanical effects supervisor, and even as a pastry chef. He directed and produced his first broadcast TV commercial at 24 and his first short film at 29.
Career Highlights of Michael Taglianetti: Creator and writer of the steampunk-themed action-adventure, Tinker, based on his short story of the same name. This project is currently in development as a web series with plans to expand into a comic book series, feature film, and both console and online video games.
Author of the children's book Max and the Marshmallow Monster, the illustrated science fiction anthology Tales of an Illicit Nature, and numerous short stories in the sci-fi/fantasy genres.
From 2004 to 2008, he was the creator and co-founder of Movie Nation Festivals and its signature Festival of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and the Supernatural, held in Las Vegas, NV.
Between 1986 and 1989, he worked as a stop-motion animator and model-maker at the now-defunct Olive Jar Animation Studio in Brookline, MA. There, alongside friend and future collaborator Tibor Szakaly, he contributed to several Clio, Telly, and Broadcast Design Association award-winning animated television commercials, including many of the iconic 10-second station IDs for MTV and VH1 during the 1980s music video era.
Since May 2002, he has been the creative and business partner of Paul M. Smith, with whom he established Harbinger Media. They expanded by adding Containment Field in October 2006 and previously owned Movie Nation Festivals and the special make-up and mechanical effects company Scare Tactics F/X from July 2003 to April 2007, when Containment Field absorbed its operations.
