Nika Balina is a Los Angeles-based actress who studied at the University of Theater Arts for four years, participating in numerous theater productions. Prior to relocating to Los Angeles, she appeared in 31 television series and feature films across major networks, working in comedy, drama, and crime genres. Since moving to Los Angeles, Nika has acted in 36 films and TV shows, including comedies, dramas, thrillers, horror, and crime stories. She starred opposite Josh Lucas in the upcoming thriller The Night Driver, shared the screen with Kristen Wiig and Allison Janney in Palm Royale, and appeared alongside Eric Roberts in The Rideshare Killer.
Recently, Nika wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the psychological thriller The Sixth Floor, which premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre during the 2025 Golden State Film Festival. The film won an award at the International New York Film Festival and earned nominations at the Toronto International Women Film Festival and the Chicago Indie Film Awards. The Sixth Floor is slated for release in 2026.
She also starred in the independent film The Lost Films of Ko Chiaki, showcased at three major comedy film festivals. Nika wrote, produced, and starred in the sitcom pilot Non American Dreamers, which garnered six awards at American film festivals. Additionally, she played the lead in Daemon, a film that received sixteen awards and seven nominations at various American festivals. Earlier in her career, she created and hosted two seasons of the comedy cooking show Restaurant's Spice.
Beyond acting and filmmaking, Nika enjoys snowboarding, surfing, windsurfing, cycling, rollerblading, ice skating, basketball, tennis, and various other sports.
She is fluent and performs in four languages.
