Tom Fahn was born on April 30, 1962, in Queens, New York. His parents hail from Brooklyn's East New York and Bay Ridge neighborhoods. He is the second of four siblings, with two brothers and a sister, and was raised in Huntington, Long Island, New York.
His father worked in New York radio during the week and played jazz drums on weekends. Both parents introduced the family to the arts early on, frequently taking them to movies, concerts, and Broadway shows whenever possible.
At age 15, Tom's family relocated to Southern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts from California State University, Long Beach. After marrying his college sweetheart, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Tom's acting career spans voice-over, film, TV, commercials, theater, stand-up, and improv comedy. His voice-over roles include Agumon on Digimon: Digital Monsters, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, Cowboy Bebop, and Boid N Woim on Cartoon Network, among many others. On camera, he starred as The Genie in the direct-to-video family feature The Incredible Genie alongside Amanda Fuller. He portrayed Robert D. Niro in the award-winning Scorsese parody short film Fast Food and wrote and starred in the webisode Fun Dad, both directed by his brother Jonathan Fahn. He has appeared in numerous commercials, including a national TV spot for Lowe's featuring a large bear. On stage in Los Angeles, he played Dr. Melman in Cynthia Greenburg’s play 40 And Other Problems, alongside Joy Gohring, Roma Maffia, and Maggie Wheeler.
Tom performed stand-up comedy for ten years, touring from Las Vegas to Boston as part of The Comedy Team of Tom & Dan with Dan Lorge. The duo won the $10,000 grand prize on ABC’s The New America's Funniest People. He also performed improv comedy for five years every Monday night with The Itchey Feet, directed by Bryan Rasmussen. Together with his brother Jonathan, Tom wrote and produced the short film Old Dogs, starring John Saxon, Larry Gelman, Basil Hoffman, and Phil Lamarr. Their feature-length screenplay adaptation, now titled #OldDawgz, is in pre-production with producer Bruce Gordon and is listed on The Black List. Tom and Jonathan host a podcast called Magic Moments With The Fahn Brothers.
In his free time, Tom enjoys playing softball, supporting the Los Angeles Dodgers, and spending time with family and friends.
Though he dreamed of acting since childhood, Tom considers his greatest accomplishments to be his wife and daughter. They reside in Los Angeles.
