Pippa is a multi-award-winning writer and actor, as well as a content creator and voice artist. She also directs, produces, and rides a Triumph motorcycle. Based in London and LA, she holds dual UK/US citizenship and is a member of the 2019/20 BAFTA Crew scheme, Writers Guild, Equity, and SAG-AFTRA. Pippa specializes in creating female-centric comedy and drama across various formats and media.
Raised in England and South Africa, and having attended school with Americans, Pippa has developed a versatile and unique perspective. Living in the US for several years and being in a mixed marriage, she has experienced three different forms of racism across three continents. An actor since her teens, Pippa’s debut role was Ann Burden in the BBC’s original two-handed post-apocalyptic film, Z FOR ZACHARIAH. She has since appeared in numerous TV, film, theatre, and radio productions, best known for her role as Superbitch Elaine Fenwick in CORONATION STREET and as Shaz in the cult BBC kids’ comedy series, HANGAR 17. Other notable roles include Anna, the demon Dutch girl in Michael Palin’s EAST OF IPSWICH, Joyce in the WW2 comedy-drama AND A NIGHTINGALE SANG, and Fergie in NBC’s royal movie, FERGIE & ANDREW. On stage, she has played leading roles in many UK repertory theatres, ranging from Shakespeare to Neil Simon. She has been directed multiple times by Sir Alan Ayckbourn, including in COMIC POTENTIAL, as well as appearing in NOISES OFF and BUS STOP in the West End, and DEAD FUNNY at Chichester.
Pippa’s early writing credits include comedy sketches for the multi-award-winning SMACK THE PONY, NO LIMIT (Sky), and London’s long-running live satire show, Newsrevue. After completing her screenwriting MA at LCC, she gained credits for TV, short films, and web series (SONY UK), including the groundbreaking plot-interactive teen drama SOPHIA'S DIARY. She has also created sketch shows for the Edinburgh and LA Comedy Festivals, a one-woman show titled DESTINATION ELEVATION (Pleasance and Soho Theatre), and several short plays. Pippa has performed her own sketches and stand-up material at The Comedy Store, Improv, and LA Comedy Festival. Her work has been optioned and commissioned by eOne, BBC, Radio 4, RHI/Hallmark, Screen Australia, and others. Her screenplays have won or been finalists in prestigious contests such as The Page, Austen, Screencraft, Thruline, Roadmap, LA International Screenplay Competition, and BBC Writersroom.
In the past two years, her historical psychological thriller ONE WHITE CROW was selected for the Meryl Streep/Nicole Kidman-backed Writers Lab and optioned by Bohemia Productions in LA. Her comedy UP YOURS BRIDGET JONES was a finalist in the National Lampoon Reboot Comedy Feature Contest. The short film KILLING CHRISTMAS, which she wrote, produced, and acted in, has been selected for over a dozen international festivals, winning BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT (Tweetfest), BEST HOLIDAY SHORT (London International Short Film Festival), BEST PERFORMANCES for Pippa and co-star Max Lictig (wildSOUND, Canada), and earning a Best Screenplay nomination (Emerging Artists LA), with the award still pending.

Described as “A female Ricky Gervais,” “Bridget Jones on acid,” and “Pippa is the Party Philosopher” by audiences at LA’s Improv and Comedy Store stand-up and character comedy shows.
