Dale Bell, 78, has dedicated his career to the arts, television, and film. His accolades include an Academy Award for Woodstock, a Peabody Award for Kennedy Center Tonight, two Emmys, four BAFTAs, and two Christophers. His diverse work—spanning performance, drama, documentaries, commercials, and industrials—has been broadcast worldwide, mainly on public television and networks such as NBC, ABC, A&E, Discovery, History, The Learning Channel, and TBS. In 1999, he partnered with Harry Wiland to establish the Media & Policy Center. Together, they have received Ashoka and Purpose Prize Fellowships while producing social justice multimedia projects for PBS covering topics like health care, eldercare, sustainable pioneers, healthy schools and communities, as well as the opioid crisis, the VW scandal, and Our Kids with Professor Robert Putnam. They have also taught a two-year graduate course at Woodbury University in Burbank, focusing on using media to promote social justice.
