Born Francisco Javier Gomez Huerta in Mexico City on September 5, 1968, Francisco Javier Gomez grew up there until the age of 20.
In 1989, he moved to Los Angeles, CA. Francisco had loved acting since he was very young, but it wasn’t until he discovered a theater group performing the play "Frida Kahlo: Self Portrait of Pain" that he decided to take acting classes.
After enrolling in several acting classes at El Camino College in Torrance, CA, he made his theater debut at the Scenes Festival with Professor Joe Bonanno. His scene, "The Wizard of Oz," in the role of the Scarecrow, was selected as the final scene of the night and earned a standing ovation. This marked his first acting experience in English.
He continued his acting education with the "Grupo de Teatro Sinergia," participating in several plays including "Che," "Homicidio Calificado," "Rancho Hollywood," and "La Noche de Cuauhtemoc."
Francisco then attended Santa Monica College, where he performed in the play "The Royal Hunt of the Sun."
Simultaneously, he began acting in student films from AFI, USC, and UCLA, and appeared in independent feature films such as "The Barrio Murder." He also worked on several Telemundo TV series, including "Placas" and "Secretos."
In 2001, Francisco Javier returned to Mexico City, where he appeared in numerous TV commercials for brands like Telnor, Fundación Televisa, Liverpool, and Viana. He also acted in several telenovelas, including "Cuando Seas Mía," "Como en el Cine," "El País de las Mujeres," "Por Ti," and "Súbete a Mi Moto," as well as TV shows like "Lo Que Callamos las Mujeres," "Sin Permiso de Tus Padres," "XHDRBZ," and "Top Models."
After two successful years in Mexico City, Francisco Javier returned to Los Angeles, CA, where he continued acting in TV commercials and independent films such as "Ladrón Que Roba a Ladrón" and "Un Día en el Banco."
His most recent national commercial was for Dodge Ram, featuring one of Latin America’s most famous rock stars, Juanes.
