Katarina Morhacova is an award-winning stage and screen actress originally from former Czechoslovakia, currently based in Los Angeles and New York City. She is fluent in English, French, Italian, Russian, Czech, and Slovak. In addition to acting, Katarina is a writer, producer, philanthropist, passionate dancer, and avid traveler.
She received her education at MXAT in Moscow, Russia, and has trained with renowned acting coaches Larry Moss and Ivana Chubbuck.
Her recent TV and film credits include Big Dogs (Amazon, Tubi) alongside Brett Cullen, Lincoln Rhyme (NBC), The Knick (Cinemax) directed by Steven Soderbergh starring Clive Owen, Madam Secretary (CBS), Bull (NBC), The Blacklist (NBC), Signs (Canal Plus), and a bilingual lead role (English and Italian) in the feature film The Journey of a Dragonfly directed by Claudia LaBianca, a finalist in Steven Spielberg's "On the Lot." She also appeared in Married Young (Amazon Studios). Katarina has won 16 Best Actress awards for her performance in the short film Rendez-Vous.
Her theater experience spans Shakespearean roles and original works, with performances Off-Broadway in NYC, as well as in repertory theaters across the UK, Italy, Czech Republic, and Russia, often performing in Italian, French, and Russian. Following a successful run of her one-woman show The Gilded Red Cage at the Edinburgh Theater Festival, Katarina returned to Edinburgh in the critically acclaimed play Adele's Heart, earning notable recognition from UK critics and media.
Beyond acting, Katarina has written, performed in, and co-produced several short films and the feature film The Journey of a Dragonfly. She is currently developing two TV shows and a feature film.
Committed to social causes, she leverages her talents and platform to raise awareness on issues empowering young girls and women. Katarina serves on the board of the non-profit organization Plus 421 Foundation.
