As CEO of The Jim Henson Company, Lisa Henson manages all aspects of television and feature film production, from initial development through post-production. She produced the critically acclaimed, Oscar®-winning Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio for Netflix and executive produced MGM+'s feature film The Portable Door, along with the Emmy-winning Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy for Apple TV+. Her extensive television work includes the Emmy®-winning Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Word Party, as well as the Emmy-nominated PBS KIDS series Sid the Science Kid, Dinosaur Train, and Splash and Bubbles.
Her feature film credits comprise Sony Pictures Animation's The Star, Disney's Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, MirrorMask, The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, Good Boy!, and Henson Alternative's The Happytime Murders. She is currently developing the eagerly awaited sequel to the classic fantasy film Labyrinth, alongside The Conductors, in collaboration with Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment.
Before becoming CEO at The Jim Henson Company, Lisa was President of Columbia Pictures, where she oversaw a series of critical and commercial hits including Little Women (1994), Immortal Beloved, and Ang Lee's Oscar®-winning Sense and Sensibility. Prior to Columbia, she spent ten years as an executive at Warner Bros.
Lisa was born in Washington, DC, and raised in Greenwich, CT, and Westchester County, NY. She graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Folklore and Mythology and was the first female president of The Harvard Lampoon.
