Bojana Maljevic (born 1974) is an actress, producer, writer, university professor, and co-founder of the production company Monte Royal Pictures International. She graduated in acting from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts at the University of Belgrade and completed her PhD research on media management, focusing on risks in the film industry, at the same university. Bojana has appeared in numerous television series and over 20 films, including "Boulevard of Revolution," "Rage," "Knife," "In the Middle of Nowhere," "On the Beautiful Blue Danube," and "So Hot Was the Cannon." She has received numerous national film festival awards for her leading roles.
As a producer, she worked on the films "Rage," "Sisters," and "Gram. Kilogram. Ton," as well as the continuation of the cult TV series "Open Doors," which made history by reuniting the same actor and author team after nearly two decades, producing 36 new episodes—a milestone in the industry. Bojana also produced the TV drama mini-series "The Mould" and the extended drama/mystery series "The Debt of The Sea" (34 episodes), and is currently preparing new seasons of these shows.
She earned recognition from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Organized Crime (UNODC) for the film "Sisters" and the humanitarian campaign "Blue Heart," which addresses human trafficking and is active in Serbia and the surrounding region. Bojana increasingly focuses on writing scripts for drama series and films that incorporate mystical, magical, and other elements. She resides in Belgrade, Serbia, primarily performs in Belgrade theaters, and is a mother of two sons.
