Arvind Mani Tripathi is an Indian film director and writer, born on August 17, 1970, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to late Shri D. N. Tiwari and Shrimati Jagwanti Tiwari. His early years were marked by performances as a child artist in theater and on Akashvani (All India Radio). After graduating from BHEL Government College in 1989, he began laying the foundation for a remarkable journey in direction and storytelling.
Arvind's filmography showcases a diverse range of work, highlighting his ability to navigate different genres and themes. His recent work includes the TV series *Pankh* (2024), where he serves as both director and visionary. In 2015, he directed *Mumtaz Mahal*, another TV series that added to his growing list of achievements.
In 2021, Arvind directed Babuji ek ticket Mumbai, The film's name was changed to 'Raag - music of Life' at the time of its theatrical release. It is known by both names. Raag, a film that explores the complex social issues surrounding human trafficking and the struggles of women in Mumbai's red-light districts. The film, which features a stellar cast including Rajpal Yadav, Rakesh Bedi, Sudha Chandran, Milind Gunaji, Mohan Joshi, Yashpal Sharma, and Bharti Soni, received critical acclaim and further solidified Arvind's reputation as a director of repute.
In 2015, Arvind directed and wrote the short film Dantewada - Har Kadam Aage , which was appreciated by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Earlier, in 2007, he directed and wrote Nachaniya- Ek Tamasha, a film that explored the cultural fabric of India, delving into themes often neglected by mainstream cinema.
