At 18, Dylan began his film production career in Vancouver, Canada, starting at the ground level. After several years working as a technician, he earned a professional mentorship with Keypix Productions through the Canadian Film & TV Production Association. Rapidly advancing, he became a Development Executive, leading the development of successful Disney DVD titles like Snow Buddies and Space Buddies.
In 2008, Dylan was one of six selected to participate in the esteemed Canadian Film Centre Producers' Lab. In subsequent years, he produced award-winning shorts Late and The Planting, while developing several feature film projects alongside director Jason R. Goode under their company Jenkinson/Goode Productions.
Dylan completed his first feature film, Numb, in 2015. It premiered in the Midnight Passion section at the Busan International Film Festival and screened at Beijing and Shanghai International Film Festivals, closing the Whistler Film Festival among others. Following a successful Canadian theatrical release, Numb was distributed internationally in over 40 territories, including the US through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and the UK via The Movie Partnership.
He has balanced complex production roles on feature films such as Bad Times at the El Royale and TV series like Altered Carbon, while producing documentary series The Marriage Course and Jonathan & Jesus for Lionsgate Television, which was filmed across three continents.
Throughout his career, Dylan has gained expertise in creative direction, development, legal and human resource management, physical production, story editing, and post-production. He continues to develop scripted projects including the coming-of-age mystery series Prison Boy, the thriller feature Quantum Shadows, and the animated series One Last Monster. Additional projects are underway through a studio he co-founded with Daniel H.A. Stewart and Mark Watt, including the documentary series Matty Conrad: Beyond the Barbershop.
