Mike Butters, born in Canada, is a versatile film, television, and stage actor, as well as a voice-over artist, comedian, improviser, impressionist, musician, and American Corporeal mime. He moved to the United States in 1989. Throughout his career, he has appeared in more than 70 films, 40 television shows, and over 100 commercials. He is best known for his role as Paul Leahy in the SAW horror franchise. Additionally, he has produced, directed, written, and starred in various web series and independent films.
Mike has extensive stage comedy experience, having been a core cast member of the LA Connection and the Flipside sketch groups for nearly ten years. He also co-founded the improvisational comedy and sketch troupe, the Pasty White Roundeyes, which has performed internationally.
Before his entertainment career, Mike played professional ice and roller hockey. He took a break from acting between 2004 and 2011 to return to hockey, working as a professional scout for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He resumed acting full-time in 2012 and has since built a substantial body of work.
His voice-over career continues to thrive, with ongoing engagements for some of the largest companies in the United States.
Mike lives in Seattle, Washington, with his wife, Katie, and their two daughters.
