Sean Grady is a director and screenwriter known for his work on projects such as 'Trailer Park Boys', 'Hobo with a Shotgun', and 'Diggstown'. A television series adaptation of his short film 'Monster Island' is currently in development with Bell Media and Cineflix, with Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project) attached as executive producer and director.
From 2014 to 2015, Sean’s original 'Monster Island' short film was featured at festivals including Toronto After Dark, the Atlantic Film Festival, and the Academy Award-qualifying Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival. The short garnered praise from prominent industry figures such as producer Michael C. Gross (Ghostbusters, Kindergarten Cop), Oscar-winning editor Bob Murawski (The Hurt Locker, Spider-Man, Army of Darkness), screenwriter Larry Karaszewski (The People vs. Larry Flynt, Ed Wood, Dolemite is My Name), among others.
In November 2014, Sean’s Ghostbusters sequel spec script, 'Ghostbusters, Inc.', went viral after being mistakenly reported as an official Sony Pictures draft. The screenplay received widespread positive reviews, sparking extensive online discussion. Sean’s work was subsequently featured in major outlets including The Globe and Mail, CBC News, CBC Mainstreet, and online platforms such as Bloody Disgusting, JoBlo, and IMDb.
Sean’s scripts have reached the finals or semi-finals of several prestigious competitions, including the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest, Telefilm's Micro-Budget Financing Program, the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and The Harold Greenberg Fund. In addition to working as a writer-for-hire on feature scripts for production companies, he contributed to the writer’s room for Season 2 of CBC’s legal drama series 'Diggstown'.
