Gary is an actor recognized for his roles in House of Cards (2012-2015), Slow Learners (2015), Creed (2015), Sally Pacholok (2015), Imperium (2016), and Jackie (2017). After a 38-year career in the healthcare diagnostic industry, retiring as a Senior Global Product Education Specialist in 2012, Gary followed a friend's suggestion to attend an open audition for the first season of the Netflix series House of Cards. Shortly after being cast as a background actor, he became passionate about acting and embraced it as a new hobby. Since 2012 through July 2016, he has participated in over 85 productions, including various TV series, major motion pictures, independent films, government training industrial films, and even appeared in a music video promoting the 2014 World Cup Soccer Championships. Within just two and a half years, Gary earned SAG-AFTRA eligibility after his role in the major motion picture Creed, starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan, and joined the Guild in March 2015. He has had speaking roles in independent films and historical reenactments, such as portraying a character in National Geographic’s American Genius series, episode Edison vs. Tesla. Gary has held recurring roles on House of Cards as a White House Press Corps Reporter alongside Kevin Spacey and on VEEP with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. His acting range covers characters in their 50s to 60s, including roles as a senator, police officer, reporter, still photographer, WWI Treaty of Versailles French Delegate, WWII German Industrialist, murder suspect, murder victim, father of a murder victim, 1860s businessman, and a 1700s witch hunter, among others. This journey has been more than a rewarding hobby for Gary; it has become a fulfilling second career filled with exciting experiences, connections with remarkable actors and friends, and anticipation for future opportunities in the industry.
