జీవిత చరిత్ర
Matthew "M@tch" Ray was born in Washington, D.C., the son of an FBI cryptologist during the Cold War. After his father was relocated to Canada, Match appeared in a PSA about drunk driving, igniting a passion within him.
From an early age, he realized he marched to the beat of his own drum. Discovering a talent for sound production in theater, he became his hometown's youngest sound and lighting technician. He worked part-time at the town's only theater while studying drama and dance throughout middle and high school.
During the summer after his sophomore year of high school, he packed a mountain backpack and purchased a one-way ticket out of Alaska.
In the summer of 1988, at just 17 years old, M@tch hitchhiked to Los Angeles with only $15 and two loaves of bread turned into peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ready to start his career in the entertainment industry.
He completed high school by taking multiple courses in drama, movement, theater, and production each semester, while working and touring with the local speed metal band Deliverance, handling production and sound. A week after graduating, he auditioned for the then-new series 90210 and was offered a role. Just three days later, he was filming the Disney movie Encino Man, playing "Link's Friend." While with Deliverance, he also performed with the outdoor theater troupe All The World's a Stage and contributed to production and sound.
Finding his true calling on stage in any capacity, he graduated from Broadcast School in Burbank and spent nearly five years on two FM rock shows in Los Angeles. He later produced his own online hardcore metal show and sang at a local coffeehouse as well as in a hardcore band.
A singer, supporting and voice-over actor, producer, production specialist, and occasional minister, this versatile artist has performance running deep in his veins.
