Esther Eden’s depth, versatility, and passion as an actor stem from her multicultural background and love of travel. Born in Sydney, Australia, to a Catholic Italian father and a Jewish Eastern European mother who encouraged her artistic interests, Esther spent her early years in Israel. There, she learned Hebrew, practiced Rhythmic Gymnastics, and participated in school plays.
At 14, she returned to Australia to focus on acting, gaining acceptance to the McDonald College of Performing Arts, attending courses at the National Institute of Performing Arts, and landing her first indie feature film role at 15. Later, she auditioned for and was accepted into the 12-Month Intensive program at Screenwise. During her showcase, a UK agent approached her with an offer of representation.
In London, Esther attended workshops at RADA and LAMDA and joined the Actor’s Center. She took part in various productions, including co-founding the theatre company Le Nouveau Guignol, which revives Grand Guignol plays, joining the sketch comedy group The 313 Show, recording the audio sit-pod-com Quiz Masters, which reached the top 10 comedy podcasts on iTunes, and filming the comedy horror feature Dead Love.
After obtaining an O1 visa in 2015, Esther moved to Los Angeles at the end of that year. She continued her Meisner training, which she began in London with Tom Radcliffe, a former student of Sanford Meisner. She studied with the Taylor School of Acting under Coach Alex Taylor, also a Meisner student and Backstage Best Acting Coach winner, graduating from the two-year acting program as the only student to perform two scenes during the graduation night.
Since relocating to LA, Esther has appeared in theatre productions such as Bump in the Night (2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival) and Astroglyde (2017). She wrote and performed her debut one-woman show, Squirreled Away, receiving rave reviews at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theater in North Hollywood. She also filmed the feature Group Therapy, which is currently being submitted to film festivals and has already secured distribution.
