Kerrie Keane has been active in stage, film, and television for over three decades. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and trained in acting under esteemed instructors in both Canada and the United States.
Her film career includes leading roles alongside John Lithgow in Distant Thunder (1988, Paramount), Vanessa Redgrave in Second Serve (1986), Peter Fonda and Oliver Reed in Spasms (1983), Elias Koteas in Malarek (1988), and John Cassavetes in The Incubus (1981). In 1989, she received a Genie Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in Hitting Home (1988), also known as Obsessed.
On television, Keane starred in three series: The Yellow Rose (1983) on ABC, Hot Pursuit (1984) on NBC, and Studio 5-B (1989) on ABC, along with a recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) on Fox. She has appeared in numerous TV movies such as A Death in California (1985), A Degree in Deception, Mistress (1987), The Perfect Daughter (1996), Diagnosis Murder: The House on Sycamore Street (1992), Divided We Stand (1988), and Life of the Party: The Pamela Harriman Story (1998) opposite Ann-Margret. She also appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. More recently, she guest-starred on Cold Case (2003), Criminal Minds (2005), Castle (2009), Ghost Whisperer (2005), and NCIS (2003), and acted in the film 21 and a Wake-Up (2009).
Alongside her acting, Keane serves as the Artistic Director of the White Buffalo Theatre Company in Los Angeles, which she founded in 2004. She wrote, directed, and produced two original plays, Fool Am I and The Red and White Store, as the company's inaugural productions. Additionally, she has directed and produced Trout Stanley and Nostalgia and Dreams at Deaf West Theatre, Chances at El Centro Theatre, and Looking for Trouble at The Lost Studio. Her direction of Alan Bowne’s provocative play Beirut earned critical acclaim.
