Earl "The Pearl" Thompson first gained national recognition as a cast member on Bravo's Love Hotel, where audiences came to know him as "Earl the Pearl." Building on that exposure, he has quickly established himself as an emerging actor, recently completing production on three feature films and continuing to expand his work in television, film, improv, and commercial voiceover.
Earl has recently completed production in featured speaking roles in the upcoming feature films The Forever Gene, Deadly Nightingale, and Pastor Wanted, showcasing his versatility across dramatic and character-driven performances. Known for his natural charisma, authenticity, and relatable presence, he brings depth, warmth, and sincerity to every role.
Outside the entertainment industry, Earl has worked as a vocational specialist and expert witness since 1999, consulting with attorneys nationwide on personal injury, disability, and employment matters. He holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. His decades of interviewing, evaluating, and testifying about people's lives and experiences have given him an exceptional understanding of human behavior, enriching the emotional authenticity he brings to his performances.
A lifelong athlete, Earl competed in baseball, football, and more than 20 years of tournament softball. He divides his time between Lawrenceville, Georgia, and St. Petersburg, Florida, and enjoys traveling, boating, dancing, supporting charitable causes, and spending time with his dogs and cats. A passionate music enthusiast, songwriter, and aspiring pianist, Earl has written more than 100 original songs.
Having experienced both tremendous joy and profound personal loss, including the passing of his wife to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and, six months later, the loss of his brother, Earl brings genuine resilience, empathy, and emotional truth to every role. Whether on screen, behind the microphone, or on stage, he is dedicated to telling compelling stories that connect with audiences through honesty, humor, and heart.
