Mark Teich was born in Detroit, Michigan. Before moving to Los Angeles, he developed his improv talents in Chicago and New York, performing and writing with The Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Improv Olympic. He built a successful comedy career, earning four certified gold CDs, a certified gold DVD, two Comedy Central Presents specials, five international tours, and numerous TV appearances.
Between 2010 and 2013, Mark maintained a strong connection with The Disney Channel and Disney XD, guest-starring in four shows: "Zeke & Luther," "The Suite Life On Deck," "I'm in the Band" as the eccentric Principal Jenkins, and "A.N.T. Farm" as the quirky soul-singing music teacher.
In November, Teich and Stephen Lynch performed their comedy to a sold-out audience at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Recently, Teich appeared alongside Tony Shalhoub in "Monk," TNT’s "Raising the Bar," created by Steven Bochco, and in the ABC/Touchstone pilot "Girls on the Bus." In 2008, the film "Leatherheads," produced, written, and directed by George Clooney and starring Clooney, Renee Zellweger, John Krasinski, and Mark Teich, premiered worldwide.
Mark has featured in over 70 national commercials across Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. Notable campaigns include Bacardi's "The FLY Life," Subway's NASCAR campaign, and the award-winning Hallmark commercial "MC Hammer Dad," recently recognized as one of the "World's Funniest Commercials." He also serves as spokesperson for brands such as Dell, Keurig, Mini Cooper, Time Warner Cable, Bridgestone Tires, Alltel, Cox Cable, H&R Block, Snapple, FedEx/Kinko's, Orbit Gum, Subway, Nintendo Wii, and Finish Line, performing in on-camera roles, radio spots, print ads, and personal appearances.
