Lisa Datz is a bi-coastal, critically acclaimed actor, director, writer, producer, and voice-over artist.
Her versatile career encompasses film, television, and theatre. She made her Broadway debut early in the Tony-winning original cast of Titanic, appeared in The Full Monty opposite Patrick Wilson, and performed Off-Broadway as Yitzak alongside John Cameron Mitchell and later Michael Cerveris in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She earned rave reviews and a Jeff Award nomination for her leading role in Violet.
Lisa starred in the Pulitzer Prize-nominated play Three Days of Rain with Silas Weir Mitchell and Sasha Roiz from Grimm (NBC). She also held leading roles in the acclaimed For the Record series in Los Angeles and at SXSW Film Festival in FTR: Tarantino and FTR: Paul Thomas Anderson, in addition to numerous regional theatre credits.
Her television and film highlights include FBI: Most Wanted opposite Dylan McDermott (CBS), Elementary (CBS) with Lucy Liu, Bones (FOX) with John Boyd, Castle (ABC) with Nathan Fillion, the film Time Out of Mind directed by Oscar-nominated Oren Moverman starring Richard Gere, the live-action SpongeBob 2 (Paramount), The Perfect Holiday opposite Gabrielle Union, and originating the role of Olga in the developmental reading of Wanda & Sheneneh by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx at Sony Pictures.
She provides motion capture and voice for one of the female leads, Jessica LeClerk, in the highly successful online video game Red Dead Redemption 2, and appears in the recent Gotham Knights from Warner Brothers Games.
During the pandemic, Lisa focused on directing and writing, creating the short film and proof of concept pilot Life of Riley, which she wrote and directed. Produced by her company Datz a Wrap in partnership with Intent Entertainment and Emmy-winning producer Erin Glass (NBC's Give), Life of Riley stars Sergio Carlo (Andy Garcia's The Lost City), Silas Weir Mitchell (Grimm, Prison Break), Akende Munalula (Deputy on FOX, Tyler Perry's Boo 2: A Madea Halloween), Dionne Gipson (NCIS, Black Dynamite), and Lisa herself (FBI: Most Wanted, Elementary).
A former competitive figure skater and current equestrian, Lisa enjoys horseback riding, skating, hip hop dancing, ocean outings, hiking, practicing Spanish, and traveling worldwide with her close family and friends when not acting or directing.
